| World Kagoshima People's Meeting Reunión Mundial de los Kagoshimanos ZOOM MEET-UP ■June 28, 2026,(JST) |

The World Kagoshima People's meeting on June 28, 2026, hosted by two North American Kagoshima prefectural groups, started at 7 a.m. Japan time. This time, there were a total of 23 participants from Japan (Tokyo, Kagoshima), the U.S., Brazil, as well as the U.K., Australia, and Argentina, and it seems the secretariat had a hard time coordinating the timing. Especially this time, Mr. Wacky (from Yoshimoto Kogyo), who will be co-starring in the play 'MOTHER ~The Mother of the Kamikaze, Tome Torihama Story~' set at the old Imperial Army kamikaze base in Chiran, Minamikyushu, made a special appearance and shared his thoughts on the play and his expectations for performing in Kagoshima in the near future. |

After the general session, participants split into breakout rooms for a friendly chat, sharing about their daily lives, thoughts on Kagoshima, and expectations for new experiences with Kenjins. There seem to be various reasons why we ended up living all over the world, but the conversations brought back memories of meeting somewhere in the world, and there was talk of looking forward to reuniting if the chance arose. There was a sense that, as fellow prefectural residents, everyone wanted to keep expanding this circle.
As Brazil goes through a generational shift, Chairman Sergio mentioned that through various events, they are conveying the 'spirit' and culture of Kagoshima, and that exchanges with Kagoshima (like student study programs) serve as encouragement for younger generations.Additionally, Mr. Shimizu, joining for the first time from the UK, explained that the first group of Satsuma students set sail from Kushikino in 1865, which marked the beginning of exchanges with Europe. The discussion also got lively when participants talked about Nagasawa Kaname, one of those students, who later went to the U.S. and became the 'Wine King of California,' making for an enjoyable time with fellow Kagoshima people. 第一回鹿児島県人世界大会(平成30年開催)において、「われわれは、故郷である鹿児島はもとより、それぞれの国や地域の永続的な発展と繁栄に向けて固い絆を結ぶことを確認し、『かごしまKIZUNAプロジェクト』の始動を高らかに宣言」しました。 その宣言を実現すべく、東京において県人世界大会の公式行事「東京ウエルカムイベント」を共同主催した「公益社団法人 三州倶楽部」、「関東鹿児島県人会連合会」、「欣交会」の三鹿児島県人団体は「鹿児島KIZUNAプロジェクトin 東京」事務局を公益社団法人 三州倶楽部内に設置し、横田事務局長以下世界大会で培った世界の県人間の交流の輪を次世代へ繋ぐこととし、コロナ禍の時期をはさみながらオンラインを中心とした活動を続けました。 これに呼応し、現在は米国カリフォルニアの県人団体も英語圏での交流拡大を目指しています。その活動を振り返ります。PCでの閲覧をおすすめします。 |

鹿児島で開催された、第一回鹿児島県人世界大会に併せて、在京の3県人団体共催により2018年10月31日（快晴）に「東京ウエルカムイベント」が開催されました。 南北米大陸をはじめ海外から鹿児島ゆかりの方々110名余が皇居訪問、浅草散策に参加され、霞が関ビル「東海大学校友会館」での歓迎式典では在京の県人350余名が暖かく迎えました。 当日の映像ビデオなどは下記バナーよりウエッブサイトをご覧ください。 Hosted by three prefectural associations in Tokyo, the event took place on October 31, 2018 (clear weather). Over 110 participants with ties to Kagoshima from abroad, including North and South America, visited the Imperial Palace and participated in a stroll around Asakusa. Gracias por participar en la "Segunda Reunión Mundial de Kagomma".
Aunque el tiempo fue corto, la reunión después del evento fue muy agradable.
Por primera vez participaron invitadas del Reino Unido y de República Dominicana. También tuvimos presentaciones de varias regiones; la charla sobre inmigración japonesa desde el norte de California fue muy interesante. |

Report :"World Kagoshima People’s Meeting" held on March 23, 2025. The first meeting of the "World Kagoshima People Meeting" represented by Mr. Tomita and Mr. Oda from California, USA, was held online. A total of 44 participants from Kagoshima Prefecture who currently live in Japan, the USA, Hong Kong, Vietnam, China, the Dominican Republic, and Thailand gathered. Participants introduced themselves, shared their connections to Kagoshima, and discussed their current living situations. They exchanged opinions on future events and commemorative activities related to their hometowns and various Kagoshima-related projects and initiatives in their respective countries. The next meeting is scheduled for this autumn. |

鹿児島県人の活躍の場が地球規模に広がり世界平和が叫ばれている現在、各地に居住する鹿児島県人の世代交代も進みつつあります。さらに日本は人口減少も予想され、ふるさと鹿児島も例外ではありません。 「かごしまKIZUINAプロジェクト、東京センター」は、このような時期にふるさと鹿児島に思いをいたし、県人である誇りと、ふるさとの振興を目的とした相互情報交流の場と、そして平和な国際社会に寄与したいと考えます。 ■情報交流の主な視点は以下の通り ・対象：鹿児島を含む世界の鹿児島県人ならびに鹿児島に興味を抱いている人々、また、かごしま県人である誇りを伝える次世代県人たち。 ・県人のふるさと「かごしま」について、文化、産業、歴史、産物、観光、言葉… ・各地の県人の生活ならびに状況共有 ・対面での交流機会へ向けた各種情報提供（県民目線での交流促進） | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

About Kagoshima KIZUNA project |

| On September 4, 2026, three Kanto-based organizations —the Sanshukurabu (Public Interest Incorporated Association), the Kanto Federation of Kagoshima Prefectural Associations (Rengoukai), and Kinkoukai— agreed to establish the "Kagoshima KIZUNA Project Tokyo Center." This Center aims to support the Kagoshima KIZUNA Project from Tokyo, carrying on the legacy of the "Tokyo Welcome Event"—an official gathering held in the Kanto region to welcome overseas kenjins of during the 'Kagoshima Global KIZUNA Assembly (2018)'and upholding the 'Declaration of Kagoshima Global KIZUNA Assembly "Starting of Kagoshima KIZUNA Project" adopted at that assembly. The Center is operated by the "Kagoshima KIZUNA Project Tokyo Center Executive Committee," comprising the three aforementioned organizations. As its inaugural initiative, the Committee has launched this official website to showcase past activities, the work of prefectural associations both in Japan and abroad, and the heritage—such as the local climate, culture, and industries—that should be passed on to future generations; through these efforts, the Center seeks to foster the development of Kagoshima Prefecture and support a sense of pride among those hailing from the prefecture. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
